Dear All,
Family Conference is starting today in Dallas. Achen has left for Dallas yesterday and will be back on July 8 after attending the Clergy Family Conference on July 5 and 6.
Diocesan Examination Winners: Congratulations to Diocesan Examination Distinction Winners. They are Sushmaita Sujit, Sancia Saji, Sheryl Cherian, Shana Mathew and Rachel Alexander. Rachel Alexander secured distinction with A+.
Church Cleaning: I would like to thank all who attended the cleaning yesterday. We were able to complete lot of things from painting the parking signs, Gardening, Opeing more space in social hall, Vacuuming all side rooms and fixing sprinkler system. I would like to specially thank John Mathew for getting people to paint the parking signs free of charge, Anu Philip for preparing lunch, Yuvajana Sakhyam members for leading the cleaning and all elders who attended the cleaning.
Newsletter: A seperate email will be send out with the details on July Newsletter.
After Service Refreshment: I would like to thank Manoj Abraham, Mathew Mathews, Philip George , Shiju Thomas, Sunil Cherian, and Varghese Thomas (San Leandro) for contributing to After Service Refreshment program. .
Financial Dues: We are into the 6 month of the year. The half-year accounts will be audited in the first week of July. Please pay your dues. The dues and payments are regularly updated at our portal at members.marthomasf.org.
This Sunday, we will have Malayalam Ordinary Service starting with Praise and Worship.

Secretary’s Note
We are into the second half of the year. The half yearly accounts will be audited and reviewed in the executive committee this month. The main program for this month is the Family Conference and The Parish Picnic.
Choir Day: We celebrated Choir Day on June 6 with a special dedication service for Choir members and a special song by Choir after the service. I thank Choir for the wonderful song and wish them all success for the coming year.
Parents Day: Parents Day was celebrated on June 13 after the service. I would like to thank the Youths for making the day memorable. They made a very good presentation that touched all parents in the Parish.
Graduation Day: Graduation Day was also celebrated on June 13. Our Parish has 11 graduates. I wish all the graduates a bright future with all success.
VBS 2010: This year’s VBS was conducted from June 16 to June 20. All had a very good time for five days filled with lot of activities and Fun. More than 80 children attended the VBS. I would like to thank all who have participated, organized the VBS this Year. Thanks to the Sunday School Teachers and volunteers. The pictures taken during the event is updated in our portal at members.marthomasf.org.
Church Picnic: Church Picnic will be held on July 31. A team is working towards conducting the picnic. The location will be decided this week. Sherry, Jibu, Renjen, Sajeev and Kurian are part of the team. We require more members in the team. So please let any one of them know if you are interested and please help if they ask for any help. I hope that all of us will have a good time on July 31.
Church Maintenance: We have got quotes for painting the Church. But, in the process, we understand that there might be some rotten wood that has to be fixed before we could do the painting. So efforts are made to get an inspection done on our church facility to find out the amount of maintenance required before the painting.
After Service Refreshment Program: I would like to thank all who contributed to the After Service Refreshment Program in the month of April. They are Choir, Sunday school, Binesh George, Deepak Cherian, Kuruvilla Thomas (Raju), Manoj Abraham, Mathew Mathews, Philip George, Pothen Joseph and Teny Kurian I would also like to thank various areas that cleaned the Kitchen.
DVD on Mission-Evangelism-Ecumenism: Our Diocese is planning to produce DVDs on various subjects. Our parish is helping with one of the subject "Mission, Evangelism and Ecumenism". A team is formed to help with the production of a DVD. The DVD was supposed to be released by July 1. But, due to the tight schedule, the release date has been postponed.
Silver Jubilee Activities: We are planning to conduct a cultural event (Talent Night) on August 21. The event will be conducted at the Social hall of first United Methodist Church, Sunnyvale. A program committee with representatives from various organizations is being formed to organize the event. We are also planning to assist people in need by providing medical aid, marriage aid, homes for the homeless, aid for mission activities and an Education fund. Separate account heads are opened for these. Please contribute to these accounts. Also, if you have any feedback or suggestions regarding these, please let any Church official know.
