Family Conference 2008 |
|
|

As you all know, our Family Conference is coming up on July 24-27th, 2008. Preperations are moving forward for the same. There will be a procession on the inaugural day which will be led by nursery and sunday school children followed by Officials, Achens, Thirumenis and
Choir.
The Sunday School would like to notify all parents and children about the guidelines for student participation in this Family Conference inaugural day procession. The selections will be made based on the student’s Sunday School attendance, participation and class examination scores. To find out any details please contact your student’s primary Sunday School teacher or Sherly Mathew.

Curriculum |

We follow the Mar Thoma Sunday School Samjayam curriculum for nursery to tenth grade. We have structured classes for these grades. Due to a limited number of students or teachers classes may be combined.
* Our Nursery/Toddlers has toddlers as young as one year old. The kids can sit on their mothers lap and listen to stories told by our wonderful teachers. They sing along with mom and the teachers. Please bring your toddler to this wonderful class. |

| We have eighty students in registered in our attendance. Our average attendance is about forty five students each Sunday. |

| Diocesan Exam |
Diocesan exam will be held on May 11, 2008 at 9 am. Children are to be in the church social hall by 8:45 am. Only children who obtain a cumulative score of 60% in their class examinations will be permitted to take the Diocesan Exam as per the guidelines set by the Diocesese. Please encourage your children to study Sunday school lessons at home and make it a part of family prayer and Bible reading. There is a registration fee of $8 for the examinations which will be paid from Sunday school fund . |

| Sunday School Day |
Sunday School Day will be celebrated on May 18, 2008 promptly after service. Most competitions will be held during the month of April and May. Please encourage and assist your student in preparing for these exams and also in their spiritual growth; this is a great responsibility which parents are entrusted with. If there are any questions or concerns please contact your child’s primary Sunday School teacher or Sherly Mathew. |

| VBS |
V.B.S. will not be held this year due to the busy schedule associated with family conference. |

| Student Dedication |
| The Student Dedication is held on the first Sunday of the beginning of the school year. A special service will be held and children will be able to participate in different parts of the service. |

| World Sunday School Day |
| World Sunday School day is a special service held on the first Sunday of November. Similar to the Student Dedication, children are able to take an active role in different parts of the service. Last year the message was given by our student and Sunday School teacher. |

| Christmas Carol Service |
| Our children prepare and sing melodious carol songs in Malayalam, Hindi and English. The Christmas Program was also held under the leadership of the Sunday school. The play was scripted and acted by our Sunday School children. |
